Is Infnits safe for my brokerage data?
Yes. Infnits connects to your brokerage through SnapTrade and Plaid using read-only OAuth access. We never see your brokerage password, we cannot place trades, move funds, or modify your account in any way. Tokens are stored in your device's Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android), never in plain storage.
How does Infnits project 30 years of dividend income?
Infnits runs a 2,000-path Monte Carlo simulation using Geometric Brownian Motion. For each holding, we calibrate expected return, volatility, dividend yield, and dividend growth rate from 2 years of price history and actual payment events. The simulation produces percentile bands (P10–P90) so you see a range of outcomes, not a single false-precision line. Full methodology is public.
What brokerages does Infnits support?
Infnits supports 20+ major US brokerages via SnapTrade and Plaid — including Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, Robinhood, E*TRADE, Merrill Edge, Interactive Brokers, and Webull. You can also enter holdings manually.
What is a portfolio health score?
A composite 0–100 score combining diversification, income stability, yield quality, growth potential, and valuation. It gives you a single number to track portfolio quality over time, and Infnits surfaces the specific sub-metrics dragging it down so you know what to improve.
Is Infnits free to use?
Yes. Dividend safety scores, brokerage sync, portfolio charts, the dividend calendar, and the health score are free. Infnits Pro unlocks deep dividend-safety analysis, dividend-growth scoring, extended Monte Carlo horizons, and premium reports.
Do I need to connect a brokerage to try it?
No. You can add holdings manually if you prefer. Connecting your brokerage is optional but gives you the best experience with automatic syncing.

- Dividend YieldDividend yield tells you how much income a stock pays relative to its current price. It's calculated by dividing the annual dividend per share by the share price. A higher yield means more income per dollar invested, but unusually high yields can signal that the market expects a dividend cut.
- FIRE NumberYour FIRE number is the total investment portfolio value you need to retire and live off your investments indefinitely. The most common formula is your annual expenses multiplied by 25 (based on the 4% withdrawal rule). If you spend $40,000 a year, your FIRE number is $1,000,000. It's the single most important target in the FIRE movement.
- Cost BasisYour cost basis is the original price you paid for an investment, including any commissions or fees. It determines your taxable gain or loss when you sell. If you bought shares at different prices over time, you may use methods like FIFO (first in, first out) or specific identification to choose which shares to sell for tax efficiency.
- P/E Ratio (Price-to-Earnings)The P/E ratio divides a stock's share price by its annual earnings per share. A P/E of 20 means investors are paying $20 for every $1 of earnings. Higher P/Es imply higher growth expectations; lower P/Es can signal value or trouble. P/E is most useful when compared against a company's sector, historical average, or the broader market (the S&P 500 has historically averaged around 16–18).
- Safe Withdrawal RateThe safe withdrawal rate is the percentage of your portfolio you can spend each year without running out of money over a 30-year retirement. The widely cited "4% rule" comes from the Trinity Study, which found that a 4% initial withdrawal rate (adjusted for inflation) survived nearly all historical 30-year periods. It's a starting point, not gospel — your actual rate depends on asset allocation, spending flexibility, and market conditions.
- Compound InterestCompound interest is interest earned on both your original principal and on the interest you have already earned. The longer the time horizon, the more dramatic the effect — $10,000 at 8% becomes $21,589 after 10 years, but $100,627 after 30 years. Compounding is the mathematical engine behind every long-term investing strategy, and it is why starting early matters more than picking the perfect investment.
